BOTOX® Cosmetic is a neurotoxin that is injected by units from a syringe into the face to smooth fine lines and wrinkles. More units cause less movement. Less units cause more movement.

If you suffer from lines or wrinkles this is the product for you. Targeted injections of BOTOX® Cosmetic into facial tissue temporarily interrupt nerve signals to nearby muscles. Even deep-set wrinkles can find some improvement. It also has many other cosmetic uses including being injected into the armpits to halt excessive sweating.

Botox® can be injected directly into muscles, temporarily blocking nerve impulses and relaxing them. With blocked nerve impulses, muscle contraction is reduced (temporarily) preventing dynamic wrinkles and giving facial skin a smoother, younger appearance.

• any medications you are taking, including vitamins and supplements
• any known allergies
• if you have an infection in the proposed area
• have some muscle/skeletal disorders (for your safety, please disclose all medical conditions to your clinician prior to treatment)
• are undergoing chemotherapy or radiation therapy
• have double vision

We understand why the word “toxin” gives people pause when they learn that BOTOX® Cosmetic is derived from Botulinum toxin A. But, just because Botox is a toxin, doesn’t mean it is toxic. BOTOX® Cosmetic is made from a purified form of Botulinum toxin A. It is reconstituted with a saline solution before it is injected, which means it is administered in concentrations far below harmful levels.

Botox is the most extensively studied non-surgical medical aesthetic treatment (over 30 years of study and innovation). It has been FDA approved for 11 therapeutic and 3 cosmetic uses. That being said, any medical treatment can be dangerous in the wrong hands. You should trust your BOTOX® Cosmetic procedure to an experienced, responsible and certified injector. Remember it’s the skill, talent and experience of the injector that you are buying, not the product. Always make sure you do your homework and are putting yourself in a safe and certified environment to receive treatment.

The cost of BOTOX® Cosmetic can vary as it depends on the number of units you receive at treatment. Whether your needs are a sprinkling or more full coverage, the price is ultimately determined by what you’re trying to achieve.

Beware if you see prices that seem too good to be true, chances are good they are. If you simply go for the cheapest option available, the probability of a subpar treatment, unpredictable results, and potentially an inexperienced injector are high.

Instead of opting for the cheapest BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment available, opt for experience and the right fit. Being able to trust your injector is so important. After all, this is your face we’re talking about.
